I'm not a fantastic cook, but the recent credit crunch has 'encouraged' me to buy less ready meals and prepare my own food from scratch. I soon found that most recipes require reasonably accurate measures to prepare food correctly; my initial 'guesstimates' proved inadequate to ensure the final dish looked like it did in the book. I realised that I needed a digital scale. I found that Tesco has this digital scale on offer for only £12.00, so I bought one and rushed home to try to make a meal as the recipe intended!
