Although the inside of the donut maker is non-stick I always give it a quick spray of Fry Light (spray cooking oil) before I put the donut mixture in because it makes cleaning the machine a lot easier, simply wipe the inside with a damp cloth and it's done and ready to be put away. Without using the spray oil I found the cleaning was more difficult as some of the donut mixture would invariably stick to the 'non-stick' part and then you're cleaning the thing for hours with a scourer! Well, it was actually a Christmas present to myself at the beginning of December so I could suss out how to use it and dazzle my guests on Christmas Day with small but perfectly formed donuts.
