Advantages: so multifunctional it's unbelievable
Disadvantages: still on the pricey side and the 3Gs has more features
What can I say about the Iphone that hasn't already been said? It really has revolutionised the mobile phone industry and I for one love it. I love the fact that it does so much - I use if for my diary, contacts, email, web surfing, oh and of course phoning people!
My 10 year old son plays on it more than his DS - and that's one of the really brilliant things about the iphone - the apps. I can't believe how many are available - literally thousands and there are apps for practically everything you can think of.
I've got apps to track my baby's activities and food intake, my running distances, my bank accounts, ebay purchases, facebook page, first aid instructions (should I ever need them!) and obviously a load of games (not that I ever play them - ok that's a lie!)
I find that I've also used it for work a lot - in fact more than my work issued PDA. I can read documents, keep track of all of my contacts (and separate them into work and home to avoid confusion) send emails (and manage several accounts) view photos, listen to my music - in fact I've sold my ipod Nano because the iphone doubles as one.
I've had to buy a hard case for it because it's easily scratched and a stick on clear screen protector to save the front from bashes. But these are minor inconveniences. I am looking forward to my contract ending so that I can get the 3gs - the 3g doesn't do video and some of the apps won't work with it either. It also won't support a few video functions when you're viewing things online - flash in particular. this means that there are quite a few websites that you don't have full functionality on which is frustrating.
Summary: I love it and don't know what I did without it!
