I picked up the iPhone3G 16GB the day that it was released in July 2008. For 18 months I couldn't have been happier with the product. It was fast, efficient, reliable etc. After 18 months I was due an upgrade so I picked up a blackberry because it was free. It was no where near as good so I went back to my iPhone. That is where the problems started. When a software (designed for the iPhone 4) was released it slowed my older iPhone down to a crawl. Since then (12 months) it hasn't got any faster. 3 weeks ago I dropped it into the road from the height of my pocket and the glass front on the screen completely shattered. But here is the thing. Even with a iPhone that works slower than windows 7 (and that really is slow) and a screen that I can hardly see through because of the shards of glass (that also provides a huge risk of cutting to the side of my face) I'm still choosing to use it. The functionality of the phone is so far in advance of what Blackberry have to offer that I'd still rather use it. I'm due another upgrade in 2 months from now, there is no way that I'm buying anything other than a new iPhone.
