Apple iPhone 3G 16 GB
Advantages: easy to use, good sound/ visual quality, big memory space
Disadvantages: outdated, pricey, keyboard small, apps arent compatible
This phone has many benefits and downsides,
I will start with the pros of this product:
To start, with 16G internal memory, this device offers a great capacity to store all your music, video and general multimedia needs, including all your apps (applications).
secondly, as with all apple products the sound quality with this device is well up to par, however i must note that this is with ear/head phones applied, as the external speaker lacks the volume.
The next thing i will mention is the actual function of the phone, texting and calls work fine with a flip function whilst typing to grant you a larger keyboard, the network on the phone is usually strong (also depends on your network provider as well). The address book is simple for what it needs to do, it is easy to add a contact and you can easily call any of you contacts by just tapping on the number itself.
As i mentioned with the storage (16G) if you are someone who likes alot of multimedia and apps, once you reach your maximum capacity, you have to delete your content, as there is no slots for extra memory e.g -SD, MICRO SD, etc.
The next downside to this device is that when typing a text or searching for something on the web, the keyboard has considerably small keys, i have small-ish fingers and i still often hit multiple keys due to the size, so if you buy this product you will notice sometimes it can get in the way of typing.
In the address book the only thing i can fault with it is that if you wish to delete a mass number of contacts, you have to individually do it there is no check box style selection, which can be a pain if you have this phone second hand and you want to delete all of their contacts, there is a format memory function but this clears the whole phone which might be unnecessary if you wish to keep apps and multimedia etc.
The last thing i will say about this phone which isnt good is the fact that you cannot take the back of the phone of, you have to insert the sim card by using a very thin wire and then putting the sim card on a special tray. i had a problem with something internal on the phone and i had to rip the phone open causing permanent cosmetic damage, as the phone is put together with a bonding agent, i find this annoying as it will cost extra to pay for a specialist to fix something on the phone that couldve been done easily but prevented by this bonding.
- Good phone if you can make peace with the above cons
- A bit pricey to say how outdated it is
- good sound quality(with ear/head phones)
- large memory size (However no extra slots)
- A lot of the apps are no longer compatible with the phone
Summary: Good if you dont mind the disadvantages
