Well last month I finally caved and got myself an iphone. Due to all the problems with the new 4 version I decided I would be happy with the cheaper 3GS version. I have been using it for a month now so here it was I think of it.

First of all I must state how I'm not usually into my technology. My friends have had iphone for ages and I've always said I don't need one. How wrong I was. This little gadget is simply incredible! Apple really have started from scratch and reinvented the phone. This little gizmo does so many amazing things and it really is a stunning piece of technology.

Once you master the basics the phone is so easy to use. One thing that did surprise me is that there is no big manual with this phone, just a few simple tips to get you started. From then on in you are pretty much on your own. However I have discovered that the most obvious way of doing something is usually the correct way! There are little tricks that you will learn as you use the phone, I'm still learning as I go.

The basic functions you get with the phone are excellent. A decent 3MP camera although I was a little disappointed to see there was no flash. There is an ipod which is brilliant and so easy to use, I have uploaded over a thousand songs and there is still plenty of room for more. There is google maps which is great for directions and can tell you exactly where you are. There are simple features like and alarm and stop watch. You can get the weather, stock information and utube videos.

When you start up your phone for the first time you have to connect it to itunes. This is a bit of a pain but once you get on itunes it all start to make sense. Your phone and your computer then sync together and all the information on your phone gets saved on your computer, this is handy in case something goes wrong with you phone.

I have had no problems with the phone yet. Everything has worked very well and smoothly. The apps you can download are pretty much endless and I have got some really clever little gadgets that are great fun and very handy. There really is no limit to what you can do on this phone, it's great for accessing the internet and also checking your email. It really is a magical little invention.

No matter how sceptical you might be about this phone once you have spent a while using it you really can't help but be impressed. If you have not already got one of these then you really are missing out, this gets a big thumbs up from me!
