The 16GB iPhone 3GS has some great features to earn its title as a smartphone, if not the number 1 smart phone in the world. Not sure on the £30 per month contract in the UK, but it is a good phone... among other things.

By now phones have making phone calls down to a tee, and iPhone is no different. You can simply make a call by tapping on your contact using the phones smart finger touch technology.

Messages can also be sent easily with video, photos, and other various different attachments.

If you want a phone for more than communication, the iphone also has Safari, which is an advanced web browser used on smart mobile phones, as well as on computers too, so you can browse the web till the cows come in.

If you're bored of surfing you can play music just as if you had an ipod, that goes for colour video too. The 3mp camera is not bad either, and can save to vga. These photos and videos can all be viewed quickly and efficiently using the phones easy navigation system.

The keyboard is touch technology too, and works by using the screen and your finger. Works quite well most of the time.

A unique selling point in the iphone is its ability to use Maps, handy for finding your way if your lost, and looking for a place to eat on a Saturday night in a strange town. The appeal of the iphone continues as you realise its the ability to add-on even more utensils onto this swarve Swiss army knife. This is because you can download any one of the millions of extra Applications onto your phone from the website, yes even a spirit level.

Good phone but you pay the price tag, get one and have a play before you buy!
