Advantages: Great App Store, amazing features!
Disadvantages: Camera could be better, processor could be faster (iPhone 4 upwards have a faster processor)
I purchased the iPhone 3GS 16GB, second hand, off a friend. It has treated me great and beat the Android phone I had before.
The best thing with iPhone's simply has to be the App Store. Billions of apps available for FREE or low prices. You simply cannot beat it! With the 16GB version of the 3GS you can fit quite a few apps on it.
The camera on the 3GS isn't the best quality, and if you have that extra money, I would definitely consider purchasing the latest iPhone.
Apple go out of their way with the packaging. They manage to fit the phone charger, earphones and the iPhone all in a small box.
Would I recommend the iPhone 3GS to a friend?
Yes! You can still buy the 3GS directly from Apple for just over £300.
Is it still worth getting?
If you are on a small budget, and can't afford the latest iPhone then go for the 3GS. But if you can stretch your money and buy the latest, I would definitely recommend that. I won't go into reason's why in this review but a friend of mine has the iPhone 4S and I will admit, sometimes I do get slightly jealous. But... Give it around a month and I will have the next iPhone. (Name still not decided)
Summary: Great phone, definitely worth the investment, would recommend to anyone!
