Advantages: Great phone in general, extremely durable.
Disadvantages: Not good in rainy weather, very difficult to fix/dry.
The iPhone is in my mind the best phone on the market, although it's difficult to decide whether the price you pay is worth it. Many people could not live without their phones, and I am shamefully one of these people, I'm so attached to my iPhone, I've actually named it...sad I know, but it's a daily used product in my life so it deserves a title other than 'Smartphone'.
Screen- The screen is very receptive and in tune with touch, zoom capability is perfect for reading or viewing info at a close range.
With this generation you also have dual touch, which is a great update compared to the old generations. Multiple fingers can be used during gameplay or texting, as opposed to the old 1 finger job.
Apps- With an app for everybody this iPhone really is the perfect gift, which will never bore you, every category has hundreds of apps. And with the great screen resolution every app feels 3D.
Camera- The camera is by far my favourite thing about this iPhone, with zoom capability and front camera, there is a view from all directions. With 5 megapixels taking photos has never been clearer.
My only problem is that the front camera can be very pixelated and blurry.
Screen- While the screen is also an advantage it has it's disadvantages, after a few months, unfortunately it starts to become less receptive and you have to be quite forceful.
The screen also always seems to be dirty no matter how much you clean it, set it down for a while and it gathers dust like a champion!
Battery life- The battery is the biggest disappointment with this smartphone, due to all the apps it lasts only a matter of hours which is a great annoyance, especially as the battery cannot be changed personally if broken.
Button- While there may not be many buttons, after a certain amount of time/use you have to be very forceful with the buttons otherwise your command will be unsuccessful. I've heard this happens with most iPhones so this is a definite disadvantage.
USB Cable- The cable has always been a problem for me as I find it very fickle and not very sturdy, recently mine has broken after only a few months, fortunately I was able to not only get a new, extremely cheap cable at just £2, I found a longer cable which was one of my main complaints with the cable supplied, it was far too short.
This phone is overall great and any problems can be fixed cheaply and easily, newer models now exist so maybe these faults have been fixed or improved, I can't wait till I get my new edition!
Overall, the price is the deciding factor, Amazon supply this phone for £390.00 + shipping, which seems slightly steep, so my advice would be get this iPhone on contract if you can!
Summary: Will carry on getting iPhones as they are great phones and very impressive.
