First things first, this phone looks and feels incredible. It's well made and sits comfortably in the palm of your hand, the front and back glass panels and extremely strong and I've dropped mine on several occassion with it taking hardly any damage. It's much thinner than it's predecesors coming in at only 9.3mm thick. As it is the same weight as the 3GS (137g) but is smaller in size it does feel heavier in comparison but by no means does it feel heavy.

As there wasn't a great deal wrong with the previous versions, Apple hasn't overhauled the insides instead opting to tweak several features with the addition of a couple others. So i'm not going to go into detail about the specifications other than to list a few: iTunes, GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA, 5MP rear camera, front VGA camera.

It now comes with a high resolution screen, in fact it is apparently so hi-res that your eyes cant take in how good it is (if it's to be believed). The scren transition is beautifully smooth with a clear and precise display.

A new app that comes with the phone is FaceTime, which is a video calling application which uses the VGA camera located on the front of the iPhone. FaceTime is extremely easy to use, which may increase the popularity in video calling, and you can even switch to FaceTime during a conversation.

One neat little thing which the iPhone has introduced is managing your data by being able to create folders so you can organise everything with greater ease, this is limited however to 12 apps into a folder.

All in all this is a great phone, but leaves me hoping that the iPhone 5 will be an even bigger jump.
