Wow, the iPhone, Definitely an impressive phone. First lets talk about about what is new and unique to the Iphone 4S, the Siri.
-You can use your voice, to command your Iphone. I personally find this amazing, especially for sending texts, I'd say to my phone, Who it's for, the contents of the message, then siri writes, then sends your text. I find that the Siri picks up a few words incorrectly, but a majority of the time, it's just fine. It also can use other built in apps like Google maps to help you to find places close by, Like i would say "Any cinema's nearby" and siri would Google, and show me on google maps the closest cinemas to me. I can also schedule my plans and also set reminders, just by saying "Remind me to check the food in 10 minutes" and it would do so, and to schedule something you say "Meet with Bob today for the meeting at 4pm" and it goes into your calender. What else i find extremely handy is, i have a lot of apps, and instead of searching through my several screens of apps, i say "Open" then the name of the app, and it will pop up.
Now onto the processor chip. This iphone has the most powerful processor chip yet. ive noticed that it is faster that the iPhone 4 in launching apps, playing games, browsing the web, and for going through all the Menu's of the iPhone. The "A5 chip" Also pushes the games graphics alot better than the iPhone 4, and in my opinion, runs them better than any phone i have used.
Photos- The camera is 8mp Very good for a phone. It also comes with alot of features, My favourite being the anti motion blur, I have shaky hands, and often produce blurry photos, but this built in feature makes me get a good photo. The other features of this is advanced colour, auto white balance, which makes me almost always get a good picture. But i find there is one built in feature that i don't like is the Face detection, it often doesn't pick up the faces, and sometimes it automatically zooms into one persons face, and i have to zoom back out and unselect the face manually, which can be quite frustrating and annoying.
Videos- With this camera you can record up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, which is an extreme quality for a phone, and in my opinion the video quality when you watch it back, is phenomenal. But I find there is one problem. Per 8gb of memory, you can only have 45 minutes of 1080p video, So you would have to get a big memory capacity iPhone if you wanted to store alot of videos. Or you could put a lower quality video on. There is also video editing software that comes with this iPhone, so its great for an all in one camera gadget.
Screen/Display- This screen is a retina display, and it has an extremely high resolution, so you will easily be able to read and view pictures. I personally have never had problems with things like blurry writeing, or blurry pictures, and is definitely the best i have seen on a phone.
Facetime- Now this is most definitely my favourite part of this phone, Especially with the built in siri, i say "Facetime with Shuv" and up Facetime comes with an outgoing call to Shuv with a little picture of me in the bottom left hand corner. and with the camera on the front, i can easily position it so my partner can get a good view of me. The camera on the front is also very good quality.
Airplay/Airprint- Airplay is amazing in my opinion, but i remember trying to set it up for about 30 minutes when i first got it, before realising "Wait, I need something more, don't I?" And yes i did. An Apple TV box, which can be extra costs out of your pocket. But regarding that, i love just sitting down on my couch, not having to look for a remote, and simply going into my pocket, getting out my phone, and watch a film/ video clip from my phone, Its so easy, and what's also great High Quality! And airprint is also simple, you just send files over wifi, and it prints them, but you do need a printer with WiFi, which again could be money out of your pocket.
iCloud - This is also another favourite of mine, all my stuff on all my apple devices, even though i don't have many apple items,I do have a mac. And all my music and videos on my Mac, are on my iPod, and it was surprisingly easy to set up.
Onto download speeds, I used the same micro sim in my iPhone 4s as in my iPhone 4, and one thing i definitely noticed was faster, was the download and connection speeds. Downloading apps was faster, internet speed was faster, and call quality was better!
-Great all in one phone
-All apps are easy to use and download
-Very user friendly
-very light and easy to carry around
-A lot of the front surface area is screen, easily smashed (as i have found out)
I would definitely recommend this phone to my friends, it is simply amazing, but as I'm young, a few of them might not be able to fish out the money!
Summary: Good overall, but pricey. would recommend to my friends.
