INTRODUCTION
I purchased the iPhone 4S at launch and have never been disappointed, however it is quite an incremental upgrade from the iPhone 4. Coming from a non-Apple phone, it was revolutionary and this would also be the case for perhaps iPhone 3gs users.

DESIGN, DISPLAY
The 4S has a black (in my case) glass back, which is beautiful looking, and combined with the crisp 3.5 inch display, makes for a very aesthetically pleasing product. The phone is quite light weight, and slim. One obvious problem however with the glass back, is the possibility for a scratch, or worse it shattering. To this end I would advise the use of both screen protectors and back cases.

FEATURES
The camera is 8MP and is brilliant! The photo quality is superb and in the Photos app, you can zoom in without losing any of the quality or detail. The video quality is really clear, and I like that you can swap between the forward and rear facing cameras really easily. The front, lesser quality camera is mostly used for the Facetime communication platform, between other iOS product owners.
The iPhone made my iPod Touch obsolete as it has an excellent in built music player, replicating that on the iPod touch lineup.
Safari seems to work really well on the phone which is excellent.

BATTERY LIFE
This, to me, is the largest downside of this handset. The battery life only really lasts one day, which I believe is slightly under the average. However, this is compensated for by the very quick charging.

PRICE
When I bought it, it cost £499, but is now lower due to the predecessor (upcoming review!) and makes it worth the money. When you consider you are getting a high quality camera, music player, and web browser built in, as well as a telephone and text message service, it makes it worth the price point.

SUMMARY
I think this is a great phone and is excellent if you know other people owning the product, as you then have FaceTime and iMessage to communicate with, saving money on phone calls and text messages.
An excellent phone!
