Introduction

My phone contract ran out last month and I was trying to decide which phone to order as part of my next contract. The two choices I was considering was either the Apple iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy S3. My workplace decided to give me the Samsung Galaxy S3 for work purposes so I decided to purchase the Apple iPhone 5 for personal and social use. I was pretty impressed by some Apple iPhone 5 contract deals, offered by vodaphone, and I ended up purchasing the 32GB Apple iPhone 5 in black on a 24 month vodaphone contract deal consisting of unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2 GB mobile internet data on the red data plan. I also had to pay £149 for the Apple iPhone 5 handset.

Evaluation of the features of Apple iPhone 5

The quality of the range of features of the Apple iPhone 5 is excellent. The Apple iPhone 5 is very easy to learn how to use.

The screen

The Apple iPhone 5 has a larger 4 inch retina display which means you can see more applications on the home page. This is really useful as I like to keep all my applications on the home screen so that I can easily access them without having to navigate the menu.

The Call and Sound Clarity

The call clarity and sound quality on the Apple iPhone 5 has been excellent so far. The reception quality is very good. I have had very clear conversations and I have experienced no call drops or interferences.

The Camera

The Apple iPhone 5 has an excellent camera. The camera has a 8 Mega Pixel and it is called the iSight camera. There is also a new feature where you can shoot panorama photos where you can take shots and this is one of the best features I like about the camera option of the Apple iPhone 5. The Apple iPhone 5 also has HD video recording (1080p). There is also an option for taking pictures while shooting the video and this is a feature I haven't come across in other phones.

The Calendar

I am a frequent user of the i-cloud calendar and I have found that the Apple iPhone 5 is even faster at refreshing the events I have added to calendars that have been synchronised with friends on i-cloud.

The Battery

I have found that the battery standby time of the Apple iPhone 5 is very good (225 hours of standby time). I like to switch the phone off now and again to preserve battery life, especially if I am on the underground as there is no reception anyway. I am managing to get 8 hours of talk time and if I am not using a lot of talk time, I manage to get 8 to 9 hours of Internet use.

Siri the intelligent assistant

There is an intelligent assistant on the Apple iPhone 5 called Siri which can send messages, set reminders and can find information such as nearby venues. I have found Siri very useful.

Conclusion

I would definitely recommend that you purchase the Apple iPhone 5 as it is the trendiest phone to have and has some excellent features! It is indeed one of the lightest phones I have come across! The Apple iPhone 5 can simply be described as a very beautiful phone!
