Apple iPhone 5
Advantages: Bigger, clearer screen. Improved Siri.
Disadvantages: No big problems.
I have the 16 GB version and have no problems with storage. I don't have a lot of music on it but have a fair amount of apps and photos. The increased screen size and resolution make it easy to watch tv/videos on the go. The headphones you get with the phone have a new design, but I can't particularly tell the difference between them and a more traditional shape. However, you can activate Siri using the small remote control on the wire - this has been useful when out and about. Siri voice recognition and control works well in a closed environment, and reasonably well where there is some background noise - even if you have a Yorkshire accent!
The iPhone 5 is wider than previous versions but is slimmer and taller. When I first bought it, it took a while to adjust to using the longer screen, for example swiping down with one hand for the notification centre as I have very little hands! This was just a matter of adjustment, so don't worry if it feels like a stretch.
When using the camera, being able to use the plus symbol on the side of the phone makes it much easier to take photos with a steady hand (rather than just using the button on screen). The quality of the photos and the flash is good, I now use this most of the time rather than my digital camera.
If you already have an iPhone, the back-up via iTunes makes transition between a new and old phone pretty seamless. You also only need to put your password in for new purchases on iTunes, once you have clicked to updated an app it will now start without having that extra step to put your password in. This saves a little bit of time and just makes using it that bit more streamlined.
The only downside is extra apps included on the phone that you can't delete, i.e. stocks, newsstand and passbook. This is only really irksome, but I've just moved them to different folders and ignore them.
Summary: Would recommend.
