I recently switched providers and phone, but since I loved my original Blackberry so much, I wanted to pick up a newer model. After seeing what my provider had to offer, I went ahead with the Bold 9700 series. This phone is similar to the Tour, but has added features, better battery life, wi-fi capabilities, and a trackpad instead of a trackball. I was a little weary on switching from the ball to the pad because I enjoyed how accurate the trackball was, but after a few mintues, I was pretty comfortable using the responsive trackpad.

The phone itself is 4.3 inches tall, 2.4 inches wide, .5 inches thick, and weighs only 4.3 ounces. Similar to the tour, the pixel resolution is 480x360, which really does provide a clear picture on the screen. The Camera is 3.2 MP and has a 2x digital zoom. I wouldn't take family photos with the camera, but I would use it if I was in a pinch and needed a quick picture of something. Sadly, there is only 256mb of memory on the phone, which really isn't all that impressive. There is a slot for a media card, and my phone came with a 2gb one. The keyboard has a great feel like usual, which is why i prefer these phones to all touch-screen phones. The added wi-fi is great because there are times I'm in a wi-fi hotspot but I can't access my phone's 3g network, so this way I can still surf the web.

Overall, this phone has a very sturdy and good feel to it. I've been very happy with this phone so far and am glad I chose this one.
