Advantages: Social Networking

Disadvantages: Slow internet

I loved this phone when I first brought it. I couldn't wait to take it home and open the box. THe thing is now it has been taken over by so many other smart phones. The market seems to move so quickly that quick and easy apps for facebook and twitter have been negated by how slow it is to load the internet to other sites and I am stuck with this for another 6 months having brought it on a 24 month contract.

It is the basic Blackberry in their range however the buttons are great to use and despite being small are easy to operate. I did think this would take a bit of time to get used to and be a bit fiddly however I find them very good quickly. Although it is a slim phone it is also very sturdy and having dropped it a few times as is sometimes happens it has not broken and shows only a few scratches and marks. I love the fact I can send emails quick and easy with the phone like sending a text message and the fact that I can receive my emails like a text message too.

There are lots of apps to download for music and different games and blackberry messenger is useful. The problem is that I am 31 now and I do not have lots friends who are on bbm as they call it. From working in a school I know lots of pupils use this as a fun, easy and cheap way to send messages to each other however I do not use this function enough to get the full benefits of it. That said when I had two friends watching the cricket in Australia last winter I found it useful to send these free texts to them to keep in touch.

For me I would say the phone is useful for those just getting onto the smartphone market. Social networking is easy but that is where the positives stop. It has been taken over by so many brands and items that are just so much better. This includes their own range of phones like the torch and the bold.

Conclusion

Although a great phone at the time I think now it has had its day and there are better phones out there with more multi functions and faster internet speed which you can get by paying just a few more extra pounds.

Summary: Good basic phone but there are better
