Advantages: 'In with the crowd'

Disadvantages: Slow, unresponsive, no value for money, low battery life, freezes

When all my friends kept raving on about BBM, I felt left out. So, stupidly going along with the crowd, decided to trade in my reliable, beautiful samsung for this heap of rubbish.
First of all, the keypad is difficult to get used to if you are a new blackberry user; if I asked my mum to make a call on this phone she would not have a clue what to do, in fact, she does not know where the number are located.
The track pad, to begin with was overly sensitive, to the point where I could not select anything as pressing it would move it sideways. Now, it is so hard to use it takes an age to select anything, and when it does it moves to the side again.
The handset is constantly freezing, and coming up with an egg timer, which means you cannot do anything but sit, watch and wait for it to sort out. That's if it ever does. If it doesn't that means you have to removed the battery and restart the handset again. Which is an adventure in itself and can take up to 20 minutes. No good if you have to urgently make a call.
The battery life is dismal, this is because each time you open something you have to close it, and this is often forgotten to do. I left my phone in my locker at work for 3 hours, with full battery, and returned to find it flashing it's red low battery light at me.
The camera quality is as expected, this phone is not designed to take photos, so I cannot expect much of it. However, I do find it's hard to use and capture images which my previous phone did. But, as I said it's not a high quality camera, so we shouldn't expect miracles.
One feature I do like about this is the little red light. All BB's have it but I find it usual as it means I can leave my phone on the side and get on with other tasks instead of waiting for a text, missing it and not knowing it's arrived.
The keypad is another feature I like, although this is now pretty much a standard on all smart phones, I know where all the keys are and it means I can type quickly and effectively.
A good feature about BB's is the App-world, where you can download apps such as Facebook and Twitter and change the settings on the handset.
Overall, I think there are better phones you can get for this amount of money. And although there seems to be a hype around these at the moment, I'm sure the quality of these will make sure people will find something of higher quality soon.

Summary: Cannot wait to get a new phone.. and it will not be a blackberry.
