I got this phone for my Christmas last year from my boyfriend. There is a variety of colours to choose from and he purchased the pink variety for me knowing Im a girl that loves her pink accessories. After just getting over the grief of my lovely blackberry dying on me, i thought I'd write a review to let others know just what a great little phone it was/is! Now, I'm just going to start with the fact this phone lasted me two whole years...yes yes, not excellent of course, but I do not have a good track record with phones ...  Read the complete review

i have had this phone for over 12 months now and can honestly say i would not want any other phone, it is small and light to carry and has so many accessories/cases etc that you can dress it up and down to suit your personality. it is very simple and easy to use which somewhat surprised me at first as it "looked" a complicated ...  Read the complete review

I have had this phone for over 2 years now and i have had nothing but problems with it. I had only had this phone for just over a week when i had to take it back because the rollerball had packed in on the keypad, so i took it back to the carphone warehouse and explained the problem i had been having with the rollerball and they said ...  Read the complete review

The Blackberry curve is a slimmer, lighter more easier to use version of Blackberry's must expensive mobile phone Blackberry Bold. I loved this phone when I first brought it. I couldn't wait to take it home and open the box. THe thing is now it has been taken over by so many other smart phones. The market seems to move so quickly that quick and easy apps for facebook and twitter have been negated by how slow it is to load the internet to other sites and I am stuck ...  Read the complete review

Blackberry Curve 8520: Blackberry 8520 Gemini - A Tough Phone (215 words)

I used to have this Blackberry 8520, before i gave it to my brother. I purchased it in late 2008 and used it until last month (November 2011). It still work well by that time. This phone is very tough, because i am so clumsy and i often drop this phone from everywhere -the bed, the closet, the work table- and still work well. I can use ...  Read the complete review

Great for emails, not for the internet (268 words)
by - written on 10/12/11 (Somewhat useful, 3 readings)
Rating:

I have this phone through work. When I think of the phone I always wish it was an iPhone. The Curve is great for emails, as mine is synced to my outlook at work and incoming emails can be set to cause a beep or vibration just like a text. Replying is a doddle with the qwerty keyboard. Looking at the phone you might think the ...  Read the complete review

Blackberry Curve 8520: An average Smartphone (273 words)
by popmusicfan - written on 29/11/11
Rating:

This is my current phone. You can do a lot with this phone. I text, talk, picture message, browse the internet and use apps on mine. I find the QWERTY keyboard easy to use, apart from the fact that mine has sunk inwards and it is virtually impossible to use the side keys (unless you hit them really hard). The phone is easy enough to ...  Read the complete review

When I first got my Blackberry I was so excited and was raving about it to everyone, but the most I use it the more flaws I find. On the one hand it's a great little phone with email and other internet features, but on the other hand it's very temperamental and tends to break or decide it needs a re-boot at crucial moments. I ...  Read the complete review

I have owned the Blackberry Curve 8520 in black for a couple of months now and am very happy with it. It cost £120 from T-mobile, I previously had a Samsung on a T-mobile contract and didnt want to change my number so I brought the blackberry and then altered my contract so it included blackberry services. It came with a 2GB ...  Read the complete review

The Blackberry 8520 is a great phone, which contains many useful things and applications in order to get you both organised and kept up to date with family and friends. Firstly the actual phone itself is very comfortable to use, it has a QWERTY keyboard which allows you to type without making it much of an effort. If you are not a fan of ...  Read the complete review

All I can say about this phone is I loved it because of all the great features that I am going to talk about it this review. Battery life: the battery can last quite a long time and when I say long mine lasts me roughly around 13 hours a day so it will last through all those horribly long shifts you do at work. As many people who was brought into the blackberry 'hype' by getting it recommended it to them by a friend or a family member, this was the first blackberry that I ever brought and it appeared to be a pretty decent phone and in some ways it still is (nobody can deny that it is a good phone for communication if you're out and about ...  Read the complete review

A few months ago I gave in to the pressure of buying a blackberry phone. I got this phone at the start of my contract a while back, at that stage there was that massive blackberry hype where everyone went on about how amazing the were and that if you had one you're automatically cool where in reality if you have one you're a mug. I have had a contract phone with Virgin since they started to do mobile phone tarrifs. I've always been happy with a bog-standard Nokia but I was tempted to try the Blackberry Curve as it was free on a £15 a month tariff. Express Review on Blackberry Curve 8520
by - written on 24/09/11
Rating:

The Blackberry 8520 was the first Smartphone I have used and was impressed at the transition from the 'bog standard' mobile. The Blackberry messenger service was great for keeping in touch with my fellow blackberry owners, telling me when my friends were typing a message back. the phone itself is compact, sleek and lightweight. I have found that getting a Blackberry contract is much cheaper than that offered with an i-phone or similar, without missing out on what a smartphone has to offer. I regularly use email and have easily downloaded the facebook app. My only criticism would be that sometimes the phone can be slow if too many apps are stored on the phone, so I tend to just keep the ones I use the most.

After buying a touchscreen phone and being sorely disappointed with the results, I decided to move into the smartphone generation with a Blackberry Curve (8520) as my replacement handset.
