Advantages: BBM, light, small
Disadvantages: messy layout, annoying touch scroller, not a good enough camera
I got this phone in the colour red on contract for £20 a month- yet with me, it didn't even last a month (i ended up giving it to my mother)
It is a small phone (109mm x 60mm x 13.9mm) and a very light one (104g) therefore it is easy to carry around in your pocket etc.
With the QWERTY keyboard, it is supposed to be quicker and easier to text; i do prefer QWERTY keyboards, however i have found that the keys on this blackberry are rather small and fiddly.
The phone has Blackberry Messenger (BBM) which is a very useful feature, it is free, and makes texting easier and quicker- yet you can only use this feature to communicate with other Blackberry users who have BBM.
The camera is only 2 megapixels, therefore it is not exactly the best; especially since it doesn't even have flash, therefore i would advise getting a separate digital camera too.
The internet is actually surprisingly quick.
The sound quality from listening to music is good enough.
However, i found that the phone was just not for me- the touch screen scroller was very annoying and hard to control, the layout of how things were presented on the screen just seemed un-organised, and the battery life was just not good enough for a heavy mobile phone user like me.
Summary: I just didn't get on well with this phone- maybe because i already had my heart set on the iphone 4
