Blackberry is still relying upon its 'amazing' messaging capabilities which are rapidly lagging behind its IOS and Android competitors. The overall build quality of the phone is poor, it is very plasticky but the advantage of this is that it is very light in your hand. The keyboard is cheaper than those in the bold models and when typing it makes a lot of noise, which can be annoying. The multimedia features on this phone are decent, but are the real basics in this day and age. The camera is 3.2MP which is rather poor but it is ok for a cheap phone. There is no front facing camera which was a bit disappointing. The sound quality from the 3.5mm headphone jack is quite good, as is the in call sound.

The blackberry app world is rubbish compared with Google Play or the IOS app store, but it does provide the basic must have apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp.

The battery is a 1450mah battery which on paper at least is quite impressive but for me at least this has significantly deteriorated over the past 3 months.

Overall I would not suggest this phone. It costs around £100 on pay as you go and around £10 per month on pay monthly contracts. If you are a hardcore bb fan then it is your own decision, but if you want to try a blackberry because people have told you that they are good, ignore them and buy an android phone. As a whole this phone has disappointed me and sadly i have it for 20 months more so make sure you try out the phone properly before buying it!
