Advantages: Wi-fi, wide range of options, looks good, feels good
Disadvantages: camera, unreliable,
This was the very first blackberry which I have owned, and I was eager to start using it when I got it from the shop on a 2 year contract. The phone looks very sleek and modern and feels nice in your hands. When I first turned it on I was quickly trying out all of the different options which the phone offered.
The video/camera is not the best quality, and is mostly out of focus.
It took ages to get used to all of the different settings and options. I had to google some of the things I couldn't figure out in order to change some settings. Changing your ringtone is not very easy when your not used to the interface, eventually I discovered you need to go on profiles, advanced, edit before you can change your ringtone. Not as easy as just going to the sound you want clicking and going set as ring tone. It also took me an age to figure out how to bluetooth someone but once you've figured it out its very easy.
I have had it around a year now and so far it has broke 3 times. The first two times the screen was stuck on white and when I managed to get it off wouldn't turn on, the last time the scroll broke on it.
The battery on this phone is fairly good, if you recieve a good few texts a day and its set to vibrate your more then likely to be charging the phone daily, however on silent the battery will last for a few days. The battery only takes a few hours to charge.
The call reception is good although I tend to loose signal in big comercial buildings. When you have a signal the calls are clear, and its easy to hear the person your talking to.
Despite the neagatives, once you get used to how to work the phone it is really good, its easy to set reminders, alarms, use the calender, message and use of wi-fi to connect to the internet.
The thing which I feel really lets this phone down is its reliability, other then that once you have got used to the interface its a really good phone to own.
Summary: A good phone but unreliable
