Blackberry Torch 9800
Advantages: Looks good, great camera, good browser, some good games
Disadvantages: Terrible battery, not enough apps, expensive
I have had this phone for the best part of 3 months now and at first I loved it. I had previously owned a blackberry curve and then an iPhone, but decided to give blackberry another go.
Once it came to using it regularly, I personally found that the battery barely lasted a day, and I now try to carry a spare, though this is inconvenient.
The external keyboard is useful though it makes the phone quite sizeable.
Email and social networking is good and efficient, with attachments coming through well, and editing on word to go is a useful tool.
I have had a few software issues, however these are easily solved using advice given in various forums.
The camera is good, one of the best features, and the media player as well.
The internet browser is fast and easy to navigate, however my wifi can sometimes become an issue, though this may be just the fault of my terrible connection.
BlackBerry Messenger is a very useful feature for staying in touch with friends
The biggest downside of this phone that I have found, other than the price, is the lack of apps, especially when compared to other phones in the same league. I have found that there are very few games, and those good games that I do rarely find are expensive.
All in all, a great phone, but not terrible practical. Good if you use it for texting a lot, however battery does drain very quickly.
Summary: Good for someone wishing to keep up with friends, however terrible battery and not many apps.
