One of the best fully touchscreen blackberries

I have been using the z10 for a few months now and it has been a fairly good experience. One of the best features this phone offers is Blackberry Hub, where all your messages, emails, IMs etc. from all your accounts appear, be it from whatsapp, twitter, facebook or even an SMS. You will literally never miss a single notification with blackberry hub. I also like the fact that the phone relies heavily on gestures for navigation. Instead of pressing a home button you slide up from the bottom of the screen to do what a home button usually does, whether it's unlocking the device or closing an app. I believe that is a step forward in the right direction. The keyboard on this phone, to me, is spectacular. Not only does it look elegant and professional, but it has increased my ability to type faster and more accurately. The swipe up feature for predicted words is also very handy and useful for one handed typing. The suggestions are also very accurate and autocorrect is a pleasure on this phone. Call quality is as good as it will be on any smartphone today and with blackberry 10.3 on the rise, the improvements will be much welcomed. The only negative side I can think of is the voice assistant. Do not even think about using it unless you want to get frustrated. Might as well call frank yourself or use the calculator to solve the simple 62 divided by 4 question.

I've lost my faith in Blackberry since I used it

I've always been a Blackberry user as I believed in their way of coming up with competitive smartphones. As a matter of fact, I've never tried any other smartphone and it seemed I was one of the major stockholders of the company. I stood up to that even after tons of smartphones emerged like everyday there's something new to try on. So, one day, in the middle of the battle, Blackberry introduced this "to-compete-with-what's-hot" mobile and I was one of the many loyal Blackberry users who first grabbed the chance to have it for my own. It was a love at first sight as I, until now, can say that this mobile phone looks better than Iphone or Samsung especially the back cover - I just so love the leather feel and no need for covers! At first, I didn't mind its flaws; I wanted to convince myself that it was a great buy. The phone was sluggish and at times would boot on its own. Being doubtful of its performance, I, again, read some reviews of it. I knew I wasn't the only one experiencing the same problem. It was really lacking a good performance, not even close to those of its competitors when I got to ask people. To end this story, I sold it after 3 months of unsatisfied usage and replaced it with Iphone 5s. Now I'm experiencing the big difference. I couldn't go back being a loyal user of BB again.

A welcome return of form from Blackberry

The Blackberry Z10 is their new flagship model. The first phone to be running on the new 10 OS you can tell that some serious thought has been put into this phone.

The box seems to have been modelled on an iPhone box (Which is not a bad thing), with a slow release lid and minimal graphics, it has a contemporary feel. Once the lid is off you are presented with the sleek Z10 phone on a carton tray, underneath this is the two compartments which house the in-box accessories. The supplied charger is a vast change for the old style large one piece unit, in two parts it has a separate head / cable unit. The cable will also double up as a data cable thus allowing you to easily connect the phone to your computer. The battery is quite large but this is no surprise as once the phone is powered up you will realise why. The included headphones are a serious let down, they look and feel like a very cheap model that you would buy off a Sunday car boot.

The Z10 is a completely different design than any of Blackberry's previous handsets with a large 4.2" screen the handset has clearly been designed with the web and social media in mind. The display is very sharp with 16 million colours available and a 335 ppi density you never struggle to view to screen not matter what the light is like.

The new BS 10 OS software is a joy to behold, gone are the days of having to scroll through numerous menus just to make a phone call. Now the software is enticing rather than an hindrance, its easy to use, typing is an joy and with the quick links you can taking photo's in one easy swipe.

The camera is 8 megapixels with an auto focus and LED flash built in, photos are smooth and sharp, although their is a slightly blurred effect on high speed photos.

With 16GB internal memory you can store a LARGE number of Apps, Photo's, Music and Video's on the phone before you even entertain using the memory card slot.

The battery life is very good when you havn't got WiFi turned on but as soon as that switch is pressed you will soon find yourself reaching for a charger.

All in all this is a major improvement on the previous tried and tested models, although the software is still a little buggy (this will be sorted out with software updates), this much needed return of form from Blackberry and a serious contender for phone of the year. If you want a touch screen handset which looks classy, has some serious power and will fill you social fix, then this could be the handset for you.
