Advantages: Large screen, fast, sleek and clear

Disadvantages: Attractive to theives!

I got my HTC Legend in November of 2010, when I signed my contract in the Vodafone store the sales man actually dissuaded me from getting the next model up (which at the time was the Desire) as he claimed he had seen far fewer cases of faults in the Legend.
I had never owned a smartphone before and only ever used other people's iPhones in the past. Initially I expected the Legend to be far weaker than its Apple competitor but I found it to be more than powerful enough. The only time it ever seemed to struggle was in using more taxing apps such as Angry Birds, and as it was mostly my boyfriend who wanted to play on that it never really bothered me.
The sound quality was amazingly clear during calls and its built in speaker was equally nice.
Its camera, too was so good that it made my compact digital camera obsolete.
I loved the sleek, metallic casing which managed to somehow stay fingerprint-free. Unlike the screen (asking not to get fingerprints on a touch screen phone however is asking a LOT). The touch sensitivity was great for the most part, but could get a little dodgy around the edges of the screen, which was sometimes a bit annoying.
I would tell you about how well it was doing after some ordinary wear-and-tear but unfortunately only a couple of months after getting this beautiful phone I was mugged at knife-point. All I can say is that I've yet to find a decent replacement.

Summary: A great phone
