HTC One X White
Advantages: Fast, Quick Browsing, Great Camera
Disadvantages: Poor Sound Quality, Short Battery Life
Apple or Android? It's the age old question but it's become more complicated in recent years with the influx of new competition from the likes of the Samsung Galaxy and Nokia Lumia. The HTC One X launched in 2012 as a flagship phone to compete with the likes of the iPhone it's seen considerable success and growth in popularity with a number of recent variations being released including the One X+ and the soon to launch new version HTC One.
The specs for the HTC One X remain impressive and include 1GB of Ram, 32GB of internal storage and a 1.GHz quad core processor and remains one of then fastest smart phones available. Also included is a rear facing 8 megapixel camera with video recording at 24 frames per second and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera.
Performance - The Good
As an upgrade from the HTC Desire I found this phone to be an outstanding improvement. The larger screen made it much easier to view images and read text, the screen was also considerably more responsive than older HTC models. Web browsing also becomes a pleasure with the HTC One with it's super fast quad core processing power better enabling the phone to handle multiple applications. The rear mounted camera produces a clear, crisp image and the autofocus feature is usually very quick to respond. Having had this phone for nearly a year I've had next to no problems in terms of reliability whatsoever.
Performance - The Bad
Unfortunately there are a few downsides to the HTC One X not least is it's well reported battery issues, depending on your level of app use the phone can often run out of charge before the end of the day, though I've found battery saving apps that can make a significant improvement to battery performance. For me the speaker system is also a little disappointing and I wouldn't recommend using this to supply music at a BBQ for example (perhaps I'm asking for too much!). The only other issue is that the front facing 1.6 megapixel camera produces a pretty poor and grainy image thougn if I'm honest I hardly use this.
Summary: A Fantastic Smartphone that's Highly Responsive and Still an iPhone Competitor
