The latest Touch Pro 2 from HTC

My HTC touch pro 2 has just turned up today! I must admit I am really pleased with it so far. Windows 6.5 is a major step forward in terms of usability from 6.1 and this device when WinMo 7 is released I am sure will be up there with the iPhone, with the added bonus of being far more suited to business-style work. Windows marketplace has all the applications I wanted - most of them straight reproductions from the Iphone which is great. These can be added straight from the device.

The user interface is head and shoulders above my old phone (the TYTN II) and the device itself it study, well built and hovers in that space between a work based device and a consumer handset. Put it this way, it won't look out of place at the pub.

On 6.1 a lot of applications had to run on Java should as Gmail, now, the HTC can run them directly alongside my Outlook Account. I haven't paid any money for mine as it's a work phone covered by my company so that certainly needs to be taken into context but on a medium sized tariff I would expect you can pick this device up at a reasonable price.

If you feel you don't need the slide out keyboard on the Touch Pro 2 - the Touch Pro comes without it in a slimer package.

Windows devices are on the up. iPhones aren't the default choice any more in my opinion and from the sounds of it, MinMo 7 should take all Mobile devices way beyond the next level.
