Advantages: Compact, multifunctional, great app store, camera, scratch proof screen, much faster.
Disadvantages: The short battery life
I got this phone one year ago for an upgrade and I was not expecting much of it as I am not a fan of all these dainty, miniaturised phones and I had no other options as an upgrade, but once I got it up and running I was very pleased as it had all of the same features as my brothers HTC desire hd which is awesome.
I found the Htc Wildfire S fast and attractive, the predecessor wildfire was a nice toy but this works wonders. The phone is small and compact but is very powerful and full of features, plus it is twice as fast as it predecessor. Now this is a love or loath phone as some do not like small touch-screen phones and some find them attractive, convenient and quicker.
The wildfire S has a stunning 5 mp camera that can zoom, take videos with and it has a natural light flash. The camera I was not expecting much with but it is actually really good, it does not have much image noise and the LED light goes well with the pics. It also has all of the other functions such as red eye effect and so on...
Smooth, curvy, stylish... this is not my wife I am talking about but the absolutely brilliant physical appearance of the wildfire S. The phone is available in white and black. I own the white and it is made with aluminium screen edges covering it. I personally love the appearance. The phone is also quite heavy for its size but not too heavy.
The touch screen is made of a hard glass that is 3.2 inches which is reasonably big and can withstand a reasonable amount of damage as it stays scratch free but obviously will get scratched if you chainsaw it in half!
The only downside I can find on this phone is that the battery does not last very long, the battery lasts me around 15 hours from a full charge but I have tried and tested a variety of touch screen phones and they all seem to drain their batteries quite quickly, to tackle this problem I suggest carrying around a spare battery in case of emergencies.
For people looking for Iphone replacements or upgrades from an Iphone or another big touch-screen phone, this phone may not be for you as it is much smaller and will be hard to work with the small touch screen whilst texting and browsing but I am sure you will get used to it.
Thank you very much for reading this review, hope it helps.
Summary: Great phone, would highly recommend to anyone
