Advantages: Compact sized, competitively priced, packed with features
Disadvantages: Need to download apps for some regular mobile phone features that thought would be standard
Well, it took me a long time to get round to getting one, but my how I fallen in love with this baby.
Tons cheaper than an iPhone, but (from what I can tell) the ability to download and customise to make it just as good. Nice, compact 'hand-sized' phone with nicely rounded edges and a slim design. Nice bog screen for the size of the handset too.
Could ring a little louder generally, but the 'in-pocket' function that makes it call louder when it senses it's inside a pocker or handbag is an unexpected bonus!
Being a novice it's been a dream to work my way around, downloading apps and widgets is a doddle.
Haven't yet worked out if there's a way to get it to remind you audibly if you've an unanswered message - if that's not possible that's a missed trick for sure. Maybe I just need to spend more time browsing the Apps Market to find what I'm looking for.
One gripe, and it's not much of one, it doesn't seem to display photos as wallpaper very weel, even when they are portrait it tend sto zoom in, so even the best framed portrait pic doesn't display as is. Shame.
Summary: A fab little handset, ideal first smartphone
