Advantages: small, easy to use

Disadvantages: no external camera shutter button

I've had my HTC Wildfire S phone for 6 months now so can review it giving honest feedback and not while still being in the rosey glow of having a new phone.
Firstly, I'll admit given the cheap price compared to other smartphones I wasn't expecting too much from this phone I was however pleasently surprised. The size is perfect, screen size is big enough to clearly see txt clearly while keeping the overall phone a good size to slip into your pocket. The phone isn't the lightest smartphone I've held but it's still a nice light weight.
The phone is easy to use, lockable screen is a must to stop it accidently calling people while in your pocket. There's the option of setting up a txt message that can be sent to people when you can't answer their calls, I've found this to be useful in meetings to stop the person trying to phone back more than once.
The ringer volume isn't as loud as I'd have liked and I can't always hear the phone if it's in my bag or pocket however this is easily solved with vibrate.
Battery life is about average compared to other phones, I can get about 3 days without needing to charge my phone if I've not used it a lot, 1-2days if I have.
I don't tend to use a lot of apps on my phone but the ones I do use on this phone download quickly and function with ease.
The camera is a bit of a disappointment. There is no external button for taking photos you have to use the touchscreen and have a very steady hand. If you're wanting a phone to double up as a camera I wouldn't recommend this one however if you just use the camera for the odd photo when you've not got a digital camera handy then it's fine.
Overall I was pleased with the phone for the price, it's not a top of the range smartphone but it has all the features you need.

Summary: Good for the price
