Advantages: Cheap, Simple to use, easy to understand, Looks good.

Disadvantages: Battery life, I've had the same fault twice.

I bought this phone when it was new out & I was very impressed by it at first. As per usual with these HTC smartphones, the ONLY thing to let it down was the battery life - which was at normal use (Internet/Facebook/Twitter/Texting/Calls) was a maximum of one day. This, however is normal with most phones these days. If you are buying the phone direct or from Ebay etc, it is a GOOD price for the phone you get.

If you have never had an Android phone or an IPhone, then the whole market thing is a whole new world. There is an app for almost anything you can think of! From dieting apps, to games, to literally anything. Just browsing the android market for the first time will take up half a day or more for you!

Everything else is great too, the camera *could* be a teeny tiny bit better, but it does the job. You can sync your email (for push email) & the internet is good too. You have *I think* at least 4 ''pages'' (as well as the MAIN page shown in the main pic) to play around with & put whatever you want on them.. you can move the little icons anywhere.

So now for the BAD news..

My first HTC Wildfire, which I kept in a case since day one decided to go crazy one day. The screen just slowly went all 'line-ey'' (sorry only way I can describe it!) - a lot of lines came down the screen.. and then it went pitch black. I could still hear my texts.calls coming through but there was NO picture. I pulled the battery out then switched it on, it came on for a few minutes before the lines of doom came back & the fade to black.

I sent it off for repair (through the 3 network) - the phone has a 2yr warranty, which is good. They couldn't repair it (& never gave a reason) so they sent me a refurbished one, which looked practically new.

As I type this, my 2nd phone is now in repair :( - the same problem again. Let me stress that I keep my phone safe, in a case, it is never bashed around or anything. The screen on this last wek out of nowhere just decided to come up with the lines and black screen again. When I get it back this round though, I will be saying goodbye & upgrading to either a HTC Sensation or an IPhone.

Overall - this is a good little phone, but sadly it is now out of date.. there is the newer Wildfire S - which I'd probably advise you all to get rather than JUST the Wildfire. When looking at the screen of my wildfire then at the newer HTC's screen's - you can see the difference SO clearly. The newer phones are now HD or just generally clearer. So yeah, good phone if you're after a cheap HTC.. but if you want to be impressed more, spend more & go up a few models!!

Summary: Good phone if you're new to the android market etc but if you're easily impressed, save up & upgrade
