Cute little phone.. however don't think it will last the year!

Advantages: Clear, easy to use and light
Disadvantages: Freezes and is slow sometimes.
I bought the HTC Wildfire in September 2010; I got it as part of a 2 year contract. I was really excited when I first got it as it was the first smart phone id had!
So, let's start with the phone itself, its light and small, and slim so it can fit in pockets easily and handbags. The screen is very clear and the touch screen is very responsive, unlike other smart touch screens that you have to press on quite firmly to get a response. The home screen has 7 screens that you can flick through and put shortcuts on. I find I don't tend to use this, but for other people this might be helpful.
Texting on this phone is very easy but it does take time to get used to! You can turn the phone either vertically or horizontally to type your words onto the screen, it all depends on preference.
The camera is okay, it's not amazing but it does a good job, and it has a flash which quite a lot of phones don't have.
It is designed to be easy to stay in touch with people with all the apps for face book and twitter. I only use facebook and yes it is fairly easy to use for this but the internet can be slow sometimes.
A downside to this phone is that about half a year into using it, I found it became very slow and froze... I deleted a lot of things off the memory and it seems to quicken up again, but then it began to get slow again. This for me is the main downfall of the phone, but I haven't come across a phone that doesn't do this.
All in all, I believe that this little phone is handy and easy to use; it's a good start into smart phones if you haven't had one before.
Summary: A handy little phone that has almost everything!
