LG P500 Optimus One
Advantages: not too big, lots of apps, android
Disadvantages: slow, small screen
I am using my phone to write this review , and in the last few months I really have enjoyed using it. I picked the p500 up for £149.99 on pay and go on orange
For starters, the screen is 3.2 inches which obviously is not as much as many HTC phones, however the price is far, far smaller. The screen is bright and colourful with a higher resolution than all the competitors including the HTC Wildfire. Also with a full qwerty keyboard you could be effortlessly typing away all day.
Unfortunately because these budget are android phones, the processors are fairly .small and cannot support flash player. However, the web browser Skyfire will play flash videos so do not worry.
Overall, the android system is great compared to iphone and windows phone allowing you the most freedom to download whatever you want and install 3rd party applications. There are also almost 500, 000 applications on the official market place.
The phone has a very sturdy design and is comfortable to hold, making it a great little gadget to keep in your pocket. With GPS and a separate in car interface, it is a sat-nav in its own right. WIFI and 3G are as fast as you will ever need so this phone is perfect for use on the go. All in all, if you are new to smartphones grab this bargain for under £150 and you will be set up and able to go in minutes.
Summary: cheap - but still high quality
