I bought this item second hand from Ebay and probably payed over the odds for it as they can be picked up very cheaply. The item was okay but I've had better PDAs. The phone couldn't really stand up to doing all that was asked of it really! The phone calls were okay but it was really hard to hear the other person unless the phone was really really close to my ear.
This is an early PDA/Phone and so it is hard to review it as it does not have anywhere near the technology of Smartphones now adays but it does depend what you have it for.
The PDA capabilities alone were quite good and the diary and word processor were adaquet. I put audible books on it and it could not cope with this program and kept freezing. Mapping was also not brilliant depending on the programed used. Memory maps was good and worked freely but Anquet maps did not and it was really hard to move the maps.
GPS on it was surprisingly good and picked up a signal very well when outside and did tend to follow were we were quite well.
With all the new technology on the market this is kind of out of the running really and only good it you want an electronic diary.
Everything you need, wherever you need it! With an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera and 65, 000-color screen, the A701 comes in handy for talking snapshots as well as looking at them.
Thanks to a crystal clear, 65, 000-color screen, the A701 is excellent for storing and viewing photos and watching video footage. Images look as vibrant on screen as they are in real life, whilst maps and menus are also bright, crisp and easy to read.
