The Nokia C3, a phone that mainly aims at texting and calling. Agreed, it's not a killer Android / Apple smartphone, but by the simple design, along with a low price, it's a great phone!

The C3 is a QUERTY phone and is 115.5x58.1x13.6mm and weighs just 114 grams. The compact design makes it easy to fit in your pocket. The phone is available in black, white gold, gray and hot pink. For all tastes!

Display
The Nokia C3 has a TFT screen with 256 thousand colors at a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

Keyboard and navigation buttons

The C3 has a standard 4-row QWERTY keyboard with reasonably large buttons. This makes it easy to type quickly. Together with the D-Pad (similar to those from Samsung and Crap Berry [read Blackberry]) you can easily navigate through the menus.

Memory and Storage

This simple phone only has a storage capacity of 55MB of internal memory but can go up to 8GB of extra external memory via the microSD slot. With the internal memory you can store about 1000 contacts in the phonebook. Apart from the internal storage the C3 contains still 64MB of RAM and 128MB ROM memory.

Data and network capabilities

The phone operates in GSM mode over 2G networks with frequencies 850,900,1800 or 1900 megahertz.
The C3 works with GPRS and EDGE networks, but is unfortunately not compatible with 3G. Unfortunately there is no possibility for GPS functions, but there is the possibility to surf via WiFi.

Not only is there the network connections, but also Bluetooth. The C3 has a version v2.1 with A2DP and EDR connectivity, this along with a USB 2.0 via micro USB slot.

Camera

This Nokia has a simple 2 megapixel camera, which as expected is not too sharp. Nokia maintains you can take high quality photos with a dimension of 1600x1200 pixels, but in reality it's quiet dissapointing.
It is also possible to record video with a quality of 15 frames per second.

Internet

Like almost all Nokia's its has a own browser that enables you to open ordinary HTML pages. Of course the browsing can not be compared with the already established android / Apple smartphones.

Radio

The C3 has an integrated radio that allows users to listen to his favorite stations without really much radio tuning to do everytime.

Games and Apps

Nevertheless, the size and specifications of the C3, it is still possible to play JAVA games and applications, which can be downloaded (via the Nokia OVI store).

Nokia also has a few apps preinstalled. As the video player, mp3 player, Flash Lite 3.0, a voice recognizingsapp, a small organizer and an additional text app.

Battery

Yet one of the best 'features' if I may so call it, is still his battery!
The Li-ion battery keeps it in standby to 800 hour!

DECISION
Definitely recommended! It is a standard phone with many good features and easy to use. It lays great in my hand and I prefer the keyboard than a phone with just touchscreen.
