Advantages: Slick style, large variety of features
Disadvantages: Lacks any games and sound isnt great on headphones
I feel having had this phone for 13 months I can now make a fair judgement on all aspects of this phone. I will split my review into categories so if you are considering by this phone, than you can look at the category you are interested in.
Style: This phone is very well design and with its slide feature I end up wasting a lot of time flicking it up and down, which is no bad thing. The design around the phone has a leather feature which is very slick, although unfortunately the paint starts to wear and tear after only a few months
Features: It has a lot of features and everything that previous Nokia include, but what I was dissapointed to find, is that no games are apparanent, and the Sat Nav only works if you buy the accessory. Altho games can be downloaded to the phone if you are willing to spend a bit of extra money, but I feel that the phone is expensive as it is, so they shoudl have really included games as a past time.
Durability: Like I mentioned a little bit in the style section, unfortunately this phone is not durable and wear and tear is apparant quickly. The paint has nearly full come of, which luckily does not affect performance but it stops the phone from looking slick.
Memory: The phone, like most mobile phones these days can accept the mini sd card which is available in a range of sizes and the best size to go for is 1gb so you can fit hundreds of tracks and some images and videos to catch those special moments. A negative aspect though is that once the memory starts to fill the phone reacts slow and slower and currently I sometimes have to wait up to 30 seconds for a received message to load up which is ridiculous.
Sound: There is an external speaker which is quite loud, but unfortuantely the earphones are not great, they are priceys at around £14 in retial stores and the loudest volume is only the average volume for a normal MP3 player, so I was dissapointed in this respect.
Overall: A slick phone, however due to its negative durability should only be used int he short term as the paint will soon wear off and the loading times are also a waste. If anyone has any questions about this phone do not hesitate to ask. Many Thanks for reading
Summary: Just good as a short term measure

- 20/11/08 A very nicely written review. There are a few typos here ("shoudl instead of "should", or "retial" instead of "retail"), but not enough to really cause a huge problem with it. You might want to think about running your reviews through a spelling checker which could correct these for you. All the best. |
