Disadvantages: web browsing is average/below average
I have had this phone for around 14 months so i suppose i'm a good candidate to write a review on this phone. This was an upgrade on my contract from my previous phone which was the sony ericsson W595i.
This phone looks absolutely stunning which is one reason why i acquired this phone, the chrome piping around the phone makes it look a bit more of a well built phone, the stainless steel back battery cover is something which is completely different to what i had seen on the market at that current time. The slimness of the phone makes it look even more stylish which is why i stayed away from the BB in the first place as it is thick which is off putting.
When i had bought the e72 everyone was glued to blackberry's and all other phones just weren't interesting, so i thought i'd be a little different and get something else although the same sort of design (qwerty keyboard), i had read reviews and seen youtube videos on the phone which all said the e72 should not live in the BB's shadow but as a phone in it's own right and in some ways i agree as it does everything the BB does, nokia also has it's own market place, however awful it is (ovi store). It also features it's own chat service (ovi chat) which is useless as it is unpopular. However if you want to use a 'free' messaging/texting service just download Whatsapp from the ovi store it is getting more and more popular by the day and i find myself using it A LOT.
When browsing the internet, it loads up mobile pages quite quickly however when loading up normal web pages it takes a lifetime and eventually a message appears on screen saying "low memory" when i have an 8GB memory stick in there with 5GB free, quite confusing.
The keys are easy to use, however if you have big fingers it may be harder as the keys are very close together, the D-pad consists of a scrolling feature somewhat similar to that of the BB, I don't usually use this as it takes much longer than just pressing the D-pad in the direction you wish to go.
Battery life is pretty good, A full charge lasts me the whole day and I'm constantly on my phone, both talking and texting.
The camera features a 5 megapixel with flash, very good quality pictures are produced and video quality is equally as good.
Summary: Overall i think it's a really good phone with some great features, I recommend!
