Samsung Galaxy Mini

Advantages: Fast internet speeds. Perfect size. Simplicity of use
Disadvantages: Poor camera quality with no flash. Lagging and crashing problems needing to be regularly rebooted
The Galaxy Mini is exactly that, a mini, condensed version of the Samsung Galaxy, however they are not identical in terms of functionality, performance and features. The first thing I would like to mention about this phone is the exceptionally fast internet access. Within the Galaxy range this is the basic entry level, yet it still mangages to boast broadband like speeds, allowing for faster updates. However, the speed of offline use is rather poor with the phone regularly 'lagging' and crashing, requiring daily (and in some cases hourly) re-boots. This is very frustrating, especially when needing to make an urgent call or when in the middle of writing a text message. That said, as long as it doesn't crash the touch screen is otherwise fast and responsive.
The size is very well though-out, managing to stay pocket sized (un-like the bigger, brick like, smart phones of the day such as the i-phone). This is a great victory considering the features it packs, however it must be noted that the camera is of a poor resolution at only 3.2mp, wheras most phones are coming with a camera of around 5mp as standard these days. A further disadvantage of the camera is the lack of a flash. Whether this is due to the low price or compact design is unknown however a flash is such a basic function which I would expect.
This is a great little smart phone for under £100. The low price may also explain the lack of flash and poor camera quality, which are not really that much of a problem for myself as I never really use the camera function on phones. The ease of use is incredible, finding it so simple use(even my technology illiterate, 82 year old Gran had no problems working it), with a great reception amd phone signal also, making calls easy to make and recieve with no problems.
Summary: A great little smart phone packed full of features although serverly lacking a flash
