As many of you who read my reviews know: I am a mobile phone geek! If I had to count how many phones I have had..well... we'd probably be here a while! ;) But I think it's safe to say I wasn't disappointed with this purchase. My mum is constantly telling me how contracts are bad, and they cost so much money I just got bored with the arguing and went out and paid the full £350 for this stunner, and to be honest I don't regret it. I take my phone everywhere with me, and am constantly on it; so when I inherited this little beauty it was like a little connection had been made.
On first thoughts the phone seemed a little big, but I had just switched from a Blackberry so it was bound to be a difference. When turning it on for the first time I noticed how different the graphics were, everything was s clear and HD, I couldn't have asked for a better welcome...
When I looked up up on the samsung website, I saw that there is a 4.3 super amoled display, not quite sure what it is, but It made my mobile experience all the more fun...
Obviously, the phone is part of the Android collection of smart phones, and has a similar running capacity to the iphone collection. Therefore, you have access to the android app market where you can download new top of the range apps, some free and some paid for. For example, most people associate Angry Birds as being the best game, but personally I like Me want Bamboo- but that's just me! ;) The app store is already downloaded to the phone when you buy it and it is quick and easy to browse and get what you want, downloads are really fast ( depending on your wifi or contract deal) you can't really go wrong.
I change my phones all the time, but I have had this phone for nearly two months now and have no intentions of buying a new one ( I know, hold for applause!) but there aren't really any faults to it.
Again, going back to the game play, the graphics are really clear and the gaming experience it just amazing, it sometimes makes me wonder why people why game consoles when they can buy this and get a phone with it.
Here is a quick outline of the features for those of you willing to buy it:
- 8.49mm slim design
- readers hub ( for books)
- Internet web browsing and downloads.
-wifi direct to printer.
-8mp camera with LED flash, has video camera also.
- Full HD video recording with play back.
- voice recognition ( you have to speak really really clear!)
- game and music hub.
- active sync
Persuaded yet? I was when I saw the picture, never mind the features! The camera use is just amazing, and the flash comes in really handy when your out at night as the pictures come in really clear- sorry Blackberry! However, the one this I found more enticing than any other feature was the internet use, it literally is like you are on your laptop at home casually surfing the web, and the google app makes surfing all the more easy... But for me, I enjoy reading/ and or listening to books- and the readers hub comes in very handy for this as you have your own little collection of books or audiobooks to use anytime you want- and I travel a lot so this is something I use quite frequently. The music player on the phone is standard of any samsung phone, just a simple play and pause feature ( obviously there is more, but that's pretty much all you need to know) Most people would compare this to the iphone, but my friends, I don't really see the comparison- the iphone is a simple, yet good, piece of technology, but this phone is so much more than just a piece of technology- it has a piece of my heart. As above, the music player isn't all that good, but I have an ipod touch now ( see review for more details) so that isn't a problem- if there were any faults to give this, then it would be that.
The battery life of the samsung galaxy usually lasts up to around 9 hours, from fully charged, but that is if you are using it all the time ( like me!)- so overall a good battery life :) x
For those of you who want to buy it, please have a look at the Samsung website for more details, or go into your nearest mobile phone provider and they can sit and have a chat with you- after all it is a lot of money to spend- or you can get it on contract for next to nothing ( with a monthly fee for usage etc).
From me, a top quality smart phone which I recommend to all of your mobile lovers- but a little tip... buy insurance as trust me the loss of this phone would require counselling! :)x Thank you for reading
Summary: An excellent piece of technology- get out there and buy it now!
