Advantages: Fast, light, smooth, huge number of apps available
Disadvantages: None
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is the first phone I have had that still keeps me interested, amused, and above all, impressed after almost a year. It's sleek, slim design, although large, in practice makes for a light and easy to use device. The battery life is respectable, but as with any smartphone worth its name, it will need charging daily under sustained use.
The large, clear screen is amazingly responsive, and the processor seems to cope well with everything I have thrown at it. It easily links contact lists with Facebook and Google, and is fast and efficient for emails. You can even set up multiple email accounts.
The range of apps available is huge, both paid for and free. Games, utilities, music and MP3 and many more - over half a million at last count and growing rapidly! I have found the screen to be good enough to use Kindle for books regularly, and the Google sat nav is excellent.
The camera, whilst it would have been nice to have more than 8mp, is of good quality. But overall, I continue to be extremely happy with this device. I have updated the O/S to Ice Cream Sandwich, which was fairly straightforward, and am now looking forward to Jelly Bean.
Summary: Excellent
