Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB
Advantages: Good app selection, durable and pretty phone.
Disadvantages: Charging has had some issues.
Had this phone for about a year and overall I'm happy that I chose this phone.
Usage: I generally use this phone for some light texting as well as YouTube and some games. Nothing too heavy.
Battery Life: This has been my biggest issue with this phone. When I first got it, the battery lasted all day and then some if I just used it for the occasional text, music and Facebook, but later on it began to have some issues. Sometimes the phone will not charge at all when it is plugged into a socket, even discharging (charging backwards) on occasion. This is not a constant fault and is usually fixed by plugging it into my laptop, but still annoying and I find it needs checking on if I need it fully charged. Once charged the battery tends to last through approximately eight hours of intensive use.
Durability: A lot of hype was made about the "gorilla glass" build of the phone, with lots of videos of the phone being dropped from heights and surviving with few, or no scratches at all. I was dubious as to how well those claims would hold when I felt the phone, I was really surprised at the weight of the phone, it didn't seem right that a phone that light would be at all sturdy. However, generally I have found that it lives up to its claims. My phone has a few minor scratches and cracks on it, but to be honest, it hasn't had the easiest life, I've dropped it quite a few times, often outside on concrete or gravel, so I'm quite impressed with how it has held up after a year of this. I would suggest buying a cover for it when buying, preferably one that covers the screen if you're clumsy like me!
Camera: The camera is good for a phone camera, better than the iPhone camera in my opinion. Has limited "fun" features like frames and filters, although it has red, blue and green point, sepia and black and white which is good enough for me, but there are plenty of apps available for that type of thing.
Summary: Very good phone.
