Great for people starting out with smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy ace is one of those phones that have been made for simplicity, which is great for anyone who is new to using smartphones, such as a young teenager for their first phone, or a little older for those who are new to technology in general.

The Galaxy ace is a touch screen phone that comes in grey or white, but I believe the white is much nicer looking than the grey as I think it looks much cleaner, although it just show up marks more if you unfortunate enough to scuff it a little.

The phone benefits from a 1.2 GHz processor, so the phone is very fast for what it is. Now, the phone has many features, some of which are a little better than others. The main feature on this phone is the two cameras. The main rear facing camera is 5 mega pixels, which is great again for anyone new to smartphones, but there are many other phones with 4 times the quality of camera, which is something I look for in a phone nowadays. The phone also has a front facing camera which is 1.2 megapixels which is great for taking those selfies or even for video calling.

The talk time on this phone is adequate, I used to be able to use mine for around six hours before it required a charge, but that was with a little over average use, but the phone lasts much much longer if it is just left on standby. The phone runs on android, which gives you access to the Google Play Store, which has thousands of apps, anything between Facebook and Candy crush which are both free or you can choose between a wide range of paid apps too, but I find that the free ones are just as good. I much prefer the play store to the App Store on the Iphone, as I think it has a much wider range to choose from!

The phone, in my opinion, is very durable. I dropped mine by mistake a couple of times but luckily enough it stayed intact with no marks at all on it, but that was maybe just my luck playing a part in that! To buy, these phones are great value. They can be picked up brand new for between £100-£150 depending where you buy it from, but a little shopping around on the web will quickly show you the best deal available!

All in all, this is brilliant for someone who is buying their first smartphone as it is very easy to use and has minimal features to learn how to use, which is great too if you just need a phone to call and text on, but also good if you like social networking as the phone access the web too!
