T-mobile G1 with Cupcake (T-Mobile G1)
Member Name: psanderson
Advantages: Updates, integration with google, free apps, physical qwerty keyboard Disadvantages: battery life, random crashes My T-mobile G1 has recently been updated with its "Cupcake update". The new interface and additions to make the phone a little bit faster and blue tooth is working along with a new on-screen keyboard for when you don't want to use the flip out keyboard. Its great that its open source as you can have these regular updates to fix problems and also new free apps from the android market but it also has its downsides. My G1 sometimes restarts or freezes for no reason and after using a few applications with GPS or WIFI the battery drains quickly. Apart from battery issues my only other problem with the phone is it has a somewhat tinny sound compared to other phones I have used, but as I use Google products and service alot it is very easy to use mail, web search, calendar and maps with only one or two clicks. Summary: If you use google products you will love this phone |
