Advantages: handy foil wraps, low in cals

Disadvantages: not sure if its a love or hate taste!!

After trying the Caramel Rice Slims from the same range at Aldi I spotted these Summer Salad flavour and wanted to also give them a go.

*Where and How Much?*
They are only available at Aldi stores.
A box costs 99p and contains foil wrapped rice slims, each containing 10 rice slims. This makes them really handy and easy to store. I have often got a packet in my handbag or in my son's bag so that we both have a snack while we are out and about.

*Nutritional Bits*
Per quarter of a box, which is one packet of 10, the nutritional values are as follows:
Cals - 86
Protein - 2.3g
Carbs - 18.0g
Fat - 0.5g
Fibre - 1.1g
Salt Equivalent - 1.1g

*Taste, Smell, Appearance & Experience*
These slim flat discs of puffed rice are similar in size to a tealight candle, or a high-ball glass, slightly bigger than a regular sized snack-a-jack. They are a pale cream colour with a dusting of a red - orange colour.

They smell of tomatoes and lettuce - which is a bit odd from a rice cake!

I really did not expect the flavour I got from these. They really do taste like a summer salad with noticeable onion, lettuce and tomatoes. It is a really odd taste sensation and I am not sure if I am totally convinced by them. My son does enjoy them and so for that and the convenience of the foil wrapped packs I will definitely buy these again.

Summary: A very odd snack!
