I love cashew nuts. In actual fact I'm nuts for any kind of nuts to be honest with you but these when I spotted them in my local Aldi store at the price of about £.29 a packet they really appealed to me cos like I say I really love them and me, I'll buy them roasted or salted as I equally enjoy both so a bag with both in sounded totally wonderful to me!

The Packaging:

Long plastic bag which is foiled lined and on the front there is a photograph of the cashew nuts and I'm told they are Snackrite Nutz Roasted & Salted Cashews and the size is stated which is 200g, I'm told that they are gluten free and suitable for Vegetarians and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there. On the back of the bag other information includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients and allergy advice is listed (May contain traces of other nuts and peanuts), there is a full nutritional chart on there, the best before date is clearly stated and contact details for Aldi are given. Nice enough and informative bag this is.

The Nuts:

Well all you basically get in this bag is halved and whole cashews nuts that are a golden in colour and the only other things that are added to the nuts are vegetable oil and salt. All of the nuts in this are roasted AND salted not one or the other as I first imagined. However they do have a roasted, natural nutty taste with a deep crunch to them and are really well seasoned though not greasy or too salty to eat.

I thoroughly enjoyed the bag I purchased of these and thought they were very, very tasty and of great quality. For me these simply are cashews at their best and rally natural tasting however if you don't like salt then choose something else for goodness sake!
