      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me these!

Of late I have been experimenting with different types of breakfasts as its very easy to get stuck in a rut of course and so when I spotted these Apple and Raisin slices I decided to give them a whirl as they sounded rather tempting to me.

      The Packaging:

Dark blue plastic and oblong in shape outer wrapper with a photograph of the slices and some apples on there and we are told in white writing that they are Asda Slices Apple And Raisin 'Crispy slices with a raisin, currant and apple filling' and that there are 58 calories per slice and that there are 5 packs of 3 slices within the packets. On the back of the packet other information listed includes ingredients and allergy advice, there is a full nutritional chart shown, the weight is stated which is 218g (and the only size I seen these available to purchase in) and contact details for Asda are listed. Inside the slices are simply in see-through plastic packets which are easy to open and great for packed lunches etc.

      The Slices:

Golden and thin in colour, they are oblong in shape and have a bumpy texture to them. They have an aroma of apples to them and taste wise are sweet (but in a natural way) and the they taste of apples though you can't detect any actual apple in them and when you chew these initially crispy slices you do get to chewy currants and raisins which taste a bit dried really.

These are simply ok and didn't really blow me away at all. Made with an apple jam I couldn't detect that though these slices were moist enough as well as being crispy. Not for me these sadly I didn't like the overwhelming taste of apples these had to them sadly!
