Wicked Biscuits That Went Down A Treat Over Xmas!

For Xmas I brought a box of these gingerbread men from Asda, the difference is that these are Xmas shapes even though the gingerbread is exactly the same as what Asda use for their normal shaped men.

They are smaller than proper sized gingerbread men and are roughly the same size as the mini ones that Asda sell all year round in these plastic boxes. I think they were £1.99 a box but Asda had them on special offer when we went so we got 2 boxes for £3.00.

These biscuits look wicked. They come in snowman, Santa and Xmas tree shapes and the gingerbread is quite thick so each small biscuit lasts you for quite a while. They haven't got a mega strong ginger taste and I reckon that's because they are made for kids, but you can still taste the ginger over the syrupy sweetness of the biscuits.

I love the taste of these actually and I didn't think I was going to at first because usually I like my ginger biscuits to have a very strong ginger taste and I thought these would taste a bit boring. They hardly smell of ginger at all and the only decorative bits are where the biscuit has been shaped to look like Santa's head or a snowman. I thought the lack of decoration was disappointing but now I've tasted the yummy gingerbread I'm glad because icing and stuff like that would take the taste of the gingerbread off.

The biscuits are very crunchy, they soften up as the days go on and that's when they're starting to go stale but I actually think they still taste delish when they've started going soft! lol

They're not madly sweet and the ginger comes through a bit at a time as you're munching the biscuit, I think the over all flavour of them is wicked and I just love everything about them from their appearance and texture to the flavour.

They looked wicked when we put them out on Xmas day with the rest of the buffet food and my 2 little sisters loved eating snowman shaped biscuits. You get about 20 in a box so these Xmas shaped ginger biscuits are good value for money because they're dead unusual looking AND taste great.
