You just cook these in the oven for about 20-25 minutes and the Pastry turns out flaky and golden and the Meat inside is tasty and juicy. There is a good lump of Meat in here and this has the nice Cumberland taste to it. A slight spice to it as well, and there is a slight seasoning. The Pastry has a few cuts on th...more

Every year we throw a Christmas Eve Buffet for my family. It's a nice chance for us to catch up, and everyone brings their Presents to my house and we all swap them over to be ready for the big day. Sausage Rolls are part of every Buffet in my view, as they are lovely. I picked these up in the freezer section from Asda. THey cost £1 for 20 Sausage Rolls. I know you can get 50 of the budget ones for £1, but these felt larger and bigger through the pack than the budget ones. I would have liked to think that these included a bit more Meat than the cheaper ones, but since they only had 20% actual Meat, and quite a high Pork Fat content, but I don't tend to read ...  Read the complete review

When you enter the giant supermarkets you can almost feel the tension, the competition for Christmas business is fierce and Asda is making it clear that they intend to go all out to try and offer the best possible value. Our local Asda is always busy at the best of times but at the moment it is like a madhouse, there are special offer signs hanging here, there and everywhere. Good news for the consumer and if Asda have got it right it will be good news for them when they announce their after Christmas sales figures. Asda Cumberland sausage rolls - 20 mini pastries that are stuffed with Cumberland sausage and all for the humble price of £1. We often ...  Read the complete review

Yesterday I wrote a review on 'Asda's Bacon and Sausage Wraps' that have appeared instore in their party food range and mentioned that we had bought other foods from this range. We have just taken a tray of Cumberland Sausage Rolls out of the oven and our home smells like Greggs at the moment so I thought I'd take this opportunity to review these today. Packaged in the bag pictured above you get 20 Cumberland Sausage Rolls in the pack, in their frozen state they are nothing to write home about - about 2 inches square in size the pastry and sausage meat look just like you imagine they would do - a mini sausage roll. Cooking instructions advise that ...  Read the complete review

Yep you have guessed it another Asda party food review this time is of the good old party favourite sausage rolls. ***Packaging*** Asda Mini Cumberland Sausage Rolls are part of the party food range. The packaging is branded consistently with the Asda party food range; a deep red plastic bag with a very festive look to it. There are 20 items per pack. There is an image of the cooked product on the front of the box. The cooking instructions are also on the box and the mini quiches should be cooked at 200C for 12-15 minutes. ***Price*** A pack of 20 Mini Cumberland Sausage Rolls costs £1 in Asda.
