Every year we throw a Christmas Eve Buffet for my family. It's a nice chance for us to catch up, and everyone brings their Presents to my house and we all swap them over to be ready for the big day. Sausage Rolls are part of every Buffet in my view, as they are lovely.

I picked these up in the freezer section from Asda. THey cost £1 for 20 Sausage Rolls. I know you can get 50 of the budget ones for £1, but these felt larger and bigger through the pack than the budget ones. I would have liked to think that these included a bit more Meat than the cheaper ones, but since they only had 20% actual Meat, and quite a high Pork Fat content, but I don't tend to read the ingredients on Sausage Roll, as often I don't like what I see (if that makes any sense!)

The packaging is alright on this. The bag is a medium red colour and there is a tasty looking pile of Sausage Rolls piled up on the front.

You cook these in a 200o oven for approx 15-18 minutes.

Once cooked these are pretty nice. The pastry is quite thick, but flaky as well. There is 3 deep cuts in the top of the pastry and you can see the large chunk of Meat inside. The Cumberland Sausage Meat is Meaty, Tasty and has a slightly Herb-y, Spicy taste to it. The only problem with these is that I feel they taste a bit greasy. When you take these out of the oven, there is a good amount of grease left on the tray, which I wouldn't mind if it meant there was no grease on the Rolls, but it is like the Meat holds the grease in as well.

Nice tasting and a good enough buy, but pity about the grease.
