 ... in what I would call a posh box which is a purple colour. It looks like quality to me. This is a 'hand finished 'carrot cake. The box has a see through front so you can see the cake which looks appealing to eat. Asda describe it as ' moist sponge made with free range egg and grated carrot, layered and topped with soft cheese frosting'. Unfortunately I havn't been having much success with my diet for a while now but I'm still trying just a little bit. However, before my diet I was quite regularly buying Asda's Extra Special Carrot cake. I havn't bought it for a while, but me and my partner are currently on holiday in Somerset again and close to us is an Asda. We went out shopping yesterday and I wanted some goodies; so I specifically looked once again for this Carrot cake. We both love Carrot cake. What's odd is that it was my sister who first recommended I try carrot cake. I thought, at the time, that it would taste nasty; I couldn't imagine a cake could taste nice if it had carrots in it. When my boyfriend comes to see me (we have a long distance relationship at the moment) I always do stock up with cakes, biscuits and chocolate. He has a real bad sweet tooth and sadly lives on junk food. I am rather the opposite really and so when it comes to purchasing things for him I have limited knowledge and just take pot luck with things such as this and seeing as it was on special offer when I bought it and it was called 'Extra Special' I thought we should give it a go!
