I love having a nice treat with a cuppa tea in the evening once the kids are in bed. Last night I treated myself to a lovely slice from a pack of 6 carrot cake slices from Asda's good for you range. They cost 98pence for a pack of 6; which works out to be less than 17p per slice. Each slice is around and inch in width and depth and around 2 and a half inches in length. This is a great size for a snack and is enough to satisfy you hunger needs. Each slice is made of a lovely sponge with freshly sliced carrot, topped with a sweet yoghurt sugar cream icing. They are nice, soft and moist and don't taste dry in your mouth. They cream on top really does give it a kick with a huge amount of sweetness. They sponge has a slight walnut flavour to it along with carrot. Each slice contains 83 calories, which isn't too high as long as you don't eat the whole packet. The packaging is simple, there is a cardboard outer packaging which you can recycle and also a plastic tray witch house's 6 cakes which is also recyclable. They contain no artificial colours or flavourings are suitable for vegetarians. Overall these are a lovely tasting snack and really complement a cuppa tea very nicely.
